All My Dreaming: Reflection; Sometimes I want to smash the mirror before me That stands in the way of myself and who I really am inside. Once the pieces fall to the floor, I'd drag the shards under my eyes To pretend I'm not crying and red's the only color dripping down my face. Nightmare; To be caught in dreams is the only thing I fear more than humanity. I keep myself awake with thoughts of self-hatred But I can't stand long against the winding trail of mutilation That follows the sinners through darkness infested night. Memory; I feel infected, like nothing in this bloody mess they call my body Is in the right place. Remembering the days before I stole the life I should never have taken away So I could be together with those who held my heart and mind but never pulled me apart. But all my dreaming never brought me anything but pain. |
